the Hobbit : always find me

“I promise, Thorin, I will…”
Thorin used to get lost a lot in Erebor when he was a kid, and there was one time he wandered so far into the mining tunnels that he disappeared for several days, no one being able to discover where he went.

finally Dwalin managed to find him, lost and terrified in the dark and sure he was never going to find his way back, and it took a whole hour to calm little Thorin down and stop his tears.

then Thorin made him promise to never tell anyone he cried and always find him when he got lost and… Dwalin never broke his promise.
