Frerin, Thorin and Dis, the sons of Erebor.

I just wanted to draw the three children of Thràin all together!

I have the headcanon Frerin was the cheerful one, basically the gentle soul of the three, despite being a skilled fighter as much as the rest of his family, while Dis is a truly majestic lady, really royal and considerate on the surface, but secretly she has a well hidden wild side too… definitely, Kili didn’t take his hothead attitude from his dad.

Frerin has a braided moustache! Did Dís some time tell Fíli about that and Fíli decide he was going to wear his like his unknown uncle?

Idle fact; I just looked up the dates, Frerin died 60 years before Fíli was born.

in my head Dis did suggest him to braid his moustache like that, but she didn't tell him about his unknown uncle, and the first time Thorin saw him he nearly had an heart attack.
(in the movie the timelines are a bit messed up, for example Thorin is supposed to be the oldest of the company and be like 190, but in the movie he's way younger... they adapted things. so probably the battle took place not so many years before Fili and Kili were born)

Your art just keeps getting more and more brilliant ! I LOVE this, it's so great to see these three together :love: Their hair is gorgeous. (Dís's hairstyle... :la: This is one of these moments when I'd like to have long hair again. Ever since I saw the Dwarves' awesome looks in The Hobbit, I've been wanting to braid my hair sooo badly... Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait a couple of years before I can start doing that.)

Oh, and I love how Fíli clearly took some inspiration from his uncle Frerin's beard. :clap: And how Frerin looks quite a lot like Fíli - same eyes, same smile... Ah, sexy sexy Durin family... *sigh* Anyway, I'm faving this !
